Bradley, or Brad as he was affectionately known, was born on September 3, 1944, in Gothenburg, Nebraska. His parents, Alvor, lovingly nicknamed Red, and Betty Brooks DeWitt, raised him in a warm and welcoming environment. The DeWitt family later settled in Cozad, Nebraska, where Brad enjoyed a childhood filled with adventure and mischief, from fishing and hunting to running through endless cornfields.

Growing up, Brad displayed a competitive spirit that was unmistakable, excelling in high school sports at Cozad High School. He graduated in 1962, leaving a mark as a star player in baseball, football, and track—a true athlete at heart.

After finishing high school, Brad headed to the Colorado Technical University in Denver, where he earned a degree in Information Technology. Once he completed his studies, excitement led him to Southern California, where he embarked on a promising career in Computer Science and IT.

With an adventurous spirit, Brad felt the call of duty when he joined the U.S. Army. Passion for Life

Brad was more than just a soldier and a tech enthusiast; he was a true outdoor enthusiast as well. He found joy in golfing, bowling, and hunting with his beloved brother, Walt. The thrill of riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle alongside friends filled his later years with excitement and adventure. He often shared stories of laughter and camaraderie with fellow riders, which brightened his days.

A highlight of his week was his cherished “coffee group” of friends who gathered regularly to catch up, sip on hot brews, and share life’s moments. Brad also had a soft spot for his dog, Marley, who was his loyal companion throughout many adventures.
